This easy homemade slime allows kids to make slime without too much supervision. It needs three simple ingredients: glue, contact solution, and baking soda. This can also be used for a cheap science experiment. You can double the recipe or even triple, but most glue bottles come in 4 oz. bottles so I didn’t. Also, you can watch my video on making slime step-by-step.
Supplies needed:
Baking soda
Food coloring – optional
Glitter and other mix-ins – optional
8 oz. or larger plastic container
How to Make Fluffy Slime:
First, put glue into a plastic container. An 8 oz. container or larger is needed as you will need to add in other ingredients and stir. This will also be your storage container.
Note: this step is optional. Add 1-3 drops of food coloring and mix in. Keep in mind that the color you have right now will be the color of the finished product. You can also substitute the food coloring with acrylic paint. Just put a Q-tip into the bottle and get a ‘scoop’ of the paint. I prefer food coloring because it is easier to come by.
Add baking soda into the dish that holds the glue. Mix well. You can now add mix-ins, such as glitter. Doing it now makes it easier to stir in.
Now, stir in the contact solution well. The baking soda will react with the contact solution.
Start kneading the slime with your hands and then: LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!
